Correct the cause of your pain at the top of your spine

Your Atlas, the top bone of your spine, affects your entire nervous system. When we gently guide it back into its correct alignment, your whole body can rebalance and heal from the root.

No cracking, popping or twisting. You rest comfortably on your side, and the adjustment is a light touch behind the ear, so gentle it feels like someone taking your pulse.

Why we start at the top

One small bone, connected to everything

Your Atlas, the top bone of your spine, carries the full weight of your head. Your brainstem passes through its center, and the arteries that feed your brain run along each side. No other bone carries this much responsibility, which is why Dr. Laura lovingly calls it "God's bone."

When your Atlas is aligned:

Your head sits straight over your body.
When it doesn't, it can contribute to headaches, neck pain and nerve irritation.
Your weight rests evenly on both legs.
When your Atlas shifts, tightening muscles can pull one leg shorter, so you lean into one hip or bend a knee. Over time, that can lead to back pain, knee pain and sciatica.

Hear it from Dr. Laura

How much healing can come from gently correcting one small bone at the top of your spine.

How one shift affects your whole body
1

Your Atlas shifts

A fall, an accident, sports, stress, years of hunching over a screen, or even the journey of being born can shift the top bone of your spine out of its natural position.

2

Your nervous system goes on alert

When your Atlas shifts even a few millimeters, it disrupts the messages and blood flow between your brain and body. Your body senses something is wrong and gets stuck in fight-or-flight.

3

Your body compensates

Your head tilts, your hips become uneven, and tightening muscles pull one leg shorter. Symptoms like headaches, neck and back pain, sciatica or poor sleep show up far from the real cause.

4

Gently correct your Atlas

A gentle, precise correction to your Atlas bone brings it back into alignment, so your nervous system can settle and your whole body can rebalance and heal. Because we correct the root cause, your correction is built to last.

Tried everything for your headaches?

Your Atlas sits right under your skull. When it shifts, the muscles and nerves at the base of your head stay under constant strain, and many people feel that as headaches or migraines. Patients often come to us after years of medication and missed days, and many find their headaches ease or disappear as their Atlas holds its alignment.

“After almost 20 years of regular, acute migraines… From multiple per month to less than a handful per decade. Absolutely life changing!”

More than moving a bone

An adjustment is about your nervous system

The same intelligence that keeps the planets circling the sun lives inside you. It keeps your heart beating and your whole body connected, and it runs through your nervous system, protected by your spine.

Dr. Laura's goal is to remove interference, so your body can express the healing intelligence already within you. When your nervous system works well, you can:

Move with ease. Smoother, more coordinated movement in everything you do
Feel steady on your feet. Better balance and a stronger sense of your body
Let go of tension. Muscles that relax and work the way they should
Think and feel clearly. Your brain and body back in clear communication
Finally exhale. A calm, rest-and-digest state where real healing happens
Watch how you walk

The first sign isn't always pain

Many people compensate for years before pain appears. Signs to watch for:

Uneven wear on your shoes
One foot turning out more than the other
Less arm swing on one side
A lean or tilt when you stand or walk

Disc problems, before surgery

Dr. Laura walks through the MRI of a patient she is caring for now, with spinal stenosis and bulging discs, and explains why many people with disc problems can heal with gentle upper cervical care before turning to surgery, nerve blocks or steroid injections.

Symptom spotlight · Back, hips & sciatica

Back pain or sciatica keeping you from what you love?

Hip pain & sciatica · 0:46

When your Atlas shifts, tightening muscles can pull one leg shorter, so your hips tilt and your lower back and sciatic nerve take the strain. As your Atlas comes back into alignment, your hips level out, and most patients find they walk, sit and sleep with far less pain.

“Now I am back to walking as many miles as I want to a day. I have no pain anymore.”

How we work

Measure. Align. Heal.

Every spine is different, so every correction is too. Dr. Laura spent her first eight years and more than 10,000 hours using X-rays to master Upper Cervical patterns. Today she uses the Anatometer, the most accurate tool she's found for true alignment, with no radiation at all.

1
Measure
The Anatometer checks the weight on each side of your body, your hip height and your center of gravity.
2
Gently align
A light, precise adjustment while you rest on your side. No force, no cracking.
3
Heal
Your body heals between visits. We re-check at every visit and adjust only what your body needs that day.
“She was able to align my Atlas on the very first visit, which stayed in alignment 4 years and counting.”
